I was born and raised in Columbus County. I am a father, grandfather, and pastor. I attended Columbus County schools as well as my children and a grandchild. After obtaining my Bachelor's in Behavioral sciences from Shaw University in 1996, I worked in New Hanover County schools as a workforce development specialist. Then I started and ran my own trucking business for several years. For the last 26 years, I served as the pastor of First Baptist Missionary Baptist church in Armour. I also worked for several years as substitute teacher for Columbus County Schools.

In the late 1990s, I served on the Columbus County School Board for one term. I am running for School board again to: 

-review current board policies for possible revisions
-promote and improve lines of communication
-hold high expectations for student academic growth & staff accountability
-improve collaborative relationships with staff, students, and community
